The Kingsfield Singers are a highly successful Biddulph ladies choir of 25+ members whose repertoire is wide ranging. The choir was first formed in 1980 and meets weekly for rehearsals every Wednesday between 7.30pm and 9pm in The Biddulph Methodist Church. We give many concerts, both local and further afield, and take part in many church services aswell as varied private events. The musical director of the choir is Ian Pickford, who originates from Minehead in Somerset, and studied organ, singing and trumpet at Dartington College in Devon, and has been a music teacher since 1971. We are accompanied by the very talented Pianist Kathy Walton who is Biddulph born and bred. We are a friendly bunch, and always looking for new members - no audition is necessary. So, if you are 16+ years you are more than welcome to join - you don't even need to read music. The musical director goes through everything with us until we get it right! You also do not necessarily need to be able to hit those high notes either! You can be a Soprano (High), Mezzo (Medium) or Alto (Low) the choice is yours.
